New Version of Chipmunk is coming!

To give you a preview you can download Version 1.5 Beta 2 now! It is a free update for all owners of a valid license of Chipmunk. Please test this version, especially if you do large searches on a 64-bit capable system.

Chipmunk 1.2.7 Beta 3


A little inconvenience was left in 1.2.7 Beta 2: The crash reporter wouldn’t stop unearthing old crash logs. This is now fixed.

Chipmunk 1.2.1 Beta 1


To squash a rather mean crash bug I had to do some significant low-level changes. Thus for some system configurations (especially multi-processor, multi-core machines) there might be hangs or crashes for newly introduced bugs. So please test this version and report anything you find. That would be gorgeous!

I have done it! I dare to call this version a release candidate. After finally repairing bundle support and fixing all known bugs, Chipmunk seems to be ready for prime time. Please use this version to check if everything's fine and give much appreciated feedback. Thank You

Chipmunk 1.0b6

After hunting for crash bugs for quite a while, this should be a lot more stable now. Thanks to everybody who send in crash reports. Without them I wouldn't know what's going wrong or that something's going wrong in the first place. I also reduced memory consumption considerably which benefits people who scan large drives for duplicates. Have Fun!

I rewrote some code to put vital information into the user's Caches folder instead of along side the files. This leaves the modification dates intact. Thanks to everyone who was reporting this.
